Reporting a wrong figure
If a price, date or NAV looks wrong, include the page address and the figure you expected, with where you saw it, and we will check the source. Corrections to our own copy are usually live within a day; a figure that comes from a provider is corrected when the provider corrects it, and we will tell you which case it is.
What to include
A report we can act on in one pass names the page, the figure, and what you expected instead. For a city rate or a fuel price, the city and the date are enough. For an IPO, the issue name and which field looks wrong: the price band, a date on the timeline, a subscription figure or the expected premium. For a mutual fund, the scheme name and the NAV date. A screenshot helps when the figure comes from a source we may be reading differently from you.
Where the figures come from
Nothing on Rupix is typed in by hand. IPO details come from the exchanges and the offer documents, the grey market premium from the published quotes, commodity prices from the exchanges' own feeds, city gold and silver rates from the bullion associations, fuel prices from the oil marketing companies, and mutual fund NAVs from AMFI. The disclaimer explains what that means for how far the figures can be relied on, and every page shows when its figures were last updated.
App support
The Rupix app for Android reads the same data as this website. If the app shows a different figure from the site, the app is usually a sync behind; pull down to refresh. For a crash, a notification that did not arrive, or a feature request, email the address above with the app version from the settings screen and your phone model.
Advertising, data and press
Business enquiries, requests to use the figures elsewhere, and press questions go to the same address. Rupix does not sell its data, and reproducing a table from the site needs a link back to the page it came from. We do not publish sponsored content on the data pages.
