About Manika Plastech

Manika Plastech Limited is a manufacturer of specialized polymer packaging solutions in India. The firm mainly deals with the production of multilayer barrier films and containers, which find applications in industries such as food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, personal care, agrochemicals, and lubricants. Such packaging products are meant to prolong product shelf life, ensure its quality, and protect it against moisture, oxygen, and other environmental factors.

Manika Plastech specializes in the use of high-end co-extrusion technology for production of high barrier multilayer containers and films. This firm operates on the domestic and international fronts and has developed long-lasting relationships with key clients through its customized, reliable, and innovative packaging products. Sustainability, efficiency, and following of global standards is at the heart of the company's manufacturing activities.

At the moment, there are seven operational manufacturing plants of the firm located in Dehradun, Hosur, Panipat, Una and Dadra covering a total area of 51,000 square meters and having an installed capacity of 27,600 MTPA. There are also five warehouses in Hosur, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Katni.

As described in the offer document.

Objects of the issue

  • Funding the capital expenditure towards purchase of plant and machinery
  • Repayment and/or pre-payment, in part or full, of certain borrowings availed by our Company
  • General Corporate Purposes

Strengths

  • Proximity to Major Customers: The proximity of company’s facilities to the manufacturing units of its major customers helps in customer retention, quick response, and effective customer service.
  • Entry Barriers and Customer Retention: Operational and customer base of the company can act as an entry barrier to its competitors and hinder switching to other suppliers. Its customer relations provide continuity to its business.
  • Integrated Value-Added Services: Manika Plastech delivers integrated services by way of designing, product development, and labelling along with manufacturing. This provides the company the capacity to deliver tailor-made rigid polymer packaging solutions.

Risks

  • High Concentration of Customers: Around 58% to 69% of revenue from operations came from the five major customers for the three months ended June 30, 2026, and the prior three Fiscals. Loss of a major customer or reduced revenues from any such customer can impact the company’s business.
  • Dependencies on Locations of Major Customers: The firm typically sets up its operations close to the manufacturing facilities of its major customers to fulfill their needs. Hence, any changes in the level of business conducted by these customers or negative developments in their particular industries will impact the business of the company.
  • Dependency on Battery Cases:The company derived its operational revenue from battery cases in an amount that was about 54%–68% for the three-month period ending June 30, 2026 and the three Fiscal periods prior to it. A fall in battery cases sales would negatively impact the business of the company.

How allotment works

If the retail portion is not fully subscribed, every valid application is allotted in full. If it is oversubscribed, SEBI's rules require that as many applicants as possible receive at least one lot, so the shares are allotted by a computerised lottery across all valid applications, one lot each, until the retail portion is exhausted. Applying for more lots does not improve your chance in a lottery; it only increases what you receive if the issue is under-subscribed.

The basis of allotment document, published by the registrar on the allotment date, states the ratio: for example, one applicant in seven received one lot.

Allotment status is published by the registrar on its website, searchable by PAN, application number or demat account, and also on the exchange's website. Allotted shares are credited to the demat account the day before listing, and blocked money for unsuccessful applications is released the same day. The Rupix app can check allotment status by PAN once the registrar publishes it.

What happens on listing day

Shares list within three working days of the issue closing. On listing day the exchanges run a special pre-open session from nine o'clock, during which orders are collected and an opening price is discovered from them; trading in the share begins after that, usually around ten. The opening price is the listing price that appears on this page once the issue has listed, and the listing gain or loss is the difference between it and the issue price.

For a mainboard issue, the share then trades in the normal way with the exchange's price band for a new listing. For an SME issue, shares trade in lots rather than one at a time, and the market can be thin, so selling on listing day is not always possible at the opening price. Capital gains on shares sold within a year of allotment are short-term and taxed at the short-term rate.
